TITLE(tentative): stop and go? zoomallia GAMEPLAY: 2 different modes - mainly 2 players - 1 player mode if time permits
OBJECTIVE: The objective if the game is for the players to pit themselves against one another to collect the items that appear on the screen. In order to obtain the score of the item, the player must touch the starting line. Once a player loses all the life, the game will end and the two scores will be compared.
The twist is that the players can only collect one item at a time as another item will appear only after the player has "cashed" in the held item. Furthermore, the players can only move when the light is green or amber. But, they have to be careful when moving during the amber light as it wil change to red soon! Just like at a traffic light, players are not supposed to move. If the player did not notice the light changing to red and moves about, he will lose 1 health. and at the same time, if he was holding an item, he will lose it. As the game progresses, the players will ahve lesser time to react as the time lasped between the amber and red light will get shorter and shorter hence, it will test the player's ability to multi-task.
Another twist is that the player will be unable to cross his path. For example, if the player takes route A, on his way back, he CANNOT cross any path in route A else, he will lose a health. This makes the player plan his route carefully.
(should we add this?) Additionally, blocks will fall periodically hence, it will force the player to use the route that he did not intend to. If the player is hit by the block, he loses a life as well. Similarly, as you collect more points, the blcks fall at a faster rate and more frequently.
